Can you tell me more about the backdrops?
The smallest size backdrop is 80 inch wide by 60 inch tall and made from a blend of poly-spandex that has just the right amount of stretch; I refer to this as ‘Kid Sized’. This sized backdrop does not have a pole pocket. Since they are a smaller size it’s actually easier to just clamp the backdrop to a pole or pin it to a wall. The bottom corners can also be clamped down or tucked under a floormat for a nice clean edge at the bottom. See detailed images below (click/tap image to view larger).
The next sizes up is the large 8 x 8 foot and 10 x 10 foot backdrop which is made from a polyester stretch woven material similar to the smaller sized backdrop; this is referred to as the ‘Large’ backdrop. The large backdrop material is does have a pole pocket at the top.
I also offer a ‘Sweep Drop” which is a fabric backdrop made from a polyester woven material. A sweep measures 9′ wide and 16′ long with a pole pocket at the top. A sweep drop is meant to hang on the backdrop and then sweep down and come forward for the floor. The backdrop portion is roughly 8′ long and the floor portion is 8′ deep. This drop is also considered ‘Family Size’ since they can accommodate a family. See detailed images below (click/tap image to view larger).
Can you tell me more about the panel skin?
Made from a smooth soft wrinkle resistant fabric the panel skin is the perfect solution to fit all of your floordrop needs, especially for newborn and product photographers! The panel skin is custom designed to attach to the well known 4’x8′ white panel board and wood panel boards! These are available in a single printed design or 2 designs on one panel skin! So easy to use, simply unfold and attach to the board, when done unhook and fold up!
Can you tell me more about the floordrops?
Floordrops, aka floormats, have a soft printed front side with a black rubber mat backside. They are wrinkle and slip resistant, does not buckle under feet, and can even be used on low pile carpet. Available in 5 feet by 5 feet and 7 feet by 5 feet. See detailed images below (click/tap image to view larger).
What does wrinkle resistant mean?
The backdrop fabrics are made from material that resists wrinkles but wrinkles and creases can happen, especially right after producing when the fabric is folded and packaged (the process uses heat to apply the design so when it cools down while folded little wrinkles/creases can occur. So what do you do? Easy!! Throw the drop in a dryer on low heat for about 10-15 minutes or use a hand steamer. You can even throw them in the wash on cold and then dry on low (or air dry) if that is a better use of your time. Once you get those initial wrinkles/creases out it really shouldn’t wrinkle on you again. Here is an example of the kid sized backdrop right out of the box (click/tap image to view larger)!
What size backdrop is best for me?
A ‘Kid Size’ backdrop is suitable for newborns all the way to about age 6. You can fit even older children if they are in a seated pose. The ‘Family Size’ can accommodate a family of 10 or more, just depends on how you pose them. It is also great for sibling poses.
What size floordrop is best for me?
The 5×5 size is great for newborn portraits and babies up to about 1 year. The 5×7 size can accommodate older children and families. Of course you can use the 5×7 for newborns as well as this is the most versatile size.
How long does it take to receive an order?
Anticipate delivery within 1.5-2 weeks, occasionally it takes a little longer during a holiday or sale. Floormats ship separately from other items and will therefore have their own tracking number. Drops are made to order which is why the production time can vary.
How are the floormats shipped?
The floormats are shipped rolled up. Occasionally during the shipping process some rippling can occur on either end of the floormat. Simply lay the mat out flat for awhile, in the sun if possible (or use some very slight heat from a hair dryer), to soften up the rubber in that area. Once resolved just roll it back up with the design facing out or inward, whichever is your preference, to store it!
What carrier will by order be shipped through?
Smaller items (kid sized backdrops, posing fabrics) are typically shipped through USPS Priority Mail, if you order several it may go with UPS. Floormats are always shipped via UPS and for quality reasons they are physically shipped separate from the fabric drops so they will have their own tracking number.
What if my order arrives and there is a problem with it?
Mistakes can happen and I want to get it resolved for you ASAP! So if something doesn’t seem right please contact Beth within 48 hours of receipt and keep all of your original packaging. I will offer a replacement for items that have been received damaged, defective, or mis-printed. For full details please visit the terms and conditions page.
Is shipping for drops really free?
To make things logistically a bit easier for myself I have factored a small amount for US shipping into the price of each drop which means there is no additional fee for shipping on your end. No worries about what it would cost to ship a drop within the USA!
Do you ship to an address outside the USA?
The answer is yes! I am happy to ship to a location outside of the USA just keep in mind that shipping can get expensive, especially for floormats. Unfortunately over the years international shipping from the USA to outside of the USA has gone up considerably. The shop is currently set up to sell to residents in the USA and Canada; If you live elsewhere and would like a quote for the additional shipping fee please contact me. Any Canada or international shipping overpayments will be refunded.
How will I know that my order has shipped?
Once your order has shipped you will receive a ‘Shipped’ email from the shop which includes your tracking number(s). After about 1.5 weeks if you have not received an email please check your email accounts junk folder. If you received your initial order confirmation email message from the shop after placing your order you should receive the shipped email message as well BUT this is technology and sometimes it fails. You can always log into your shop account to view past orders and tracking information as well.
